Description:
Conducting Rigorous & Reproducible Clinical Research
This talk will address best practices in experimental design and analysis for conducting rigorous and reproducible clinical and translational research. We will 1) identify pitfalls and shortcomings which lead to irreproducible and non-replicable research and how to avoid them and 2) explain the underpinnings of the additional NIH review criteria for rigor and transparency. Examples from the literature that illustrate both exemplar and flawed experimental designs will be highlighted.
