The UIC Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) seeks to improve population health- particularly among minorities and the underserved- by accelerating the research process, enabling scientific discoveries to reach patients and communities faster.

The CCTS Training Center provides a centralized home for professional development programs, tool instruction and research education for community members.

CCTS's TrACTS (Training and Advancement of Careers in Translational Science) Suite offers a broad, flexible, and integrated set of educational and professional development programs to assist individuals in enhancing their clinical and translational research skills.

TrACTS Suite training opportunities include, but are not limited to, Best Practice Hour, Your Future in Science, monthly REDCap Q&A and more.

QUICKSet is a cohort discovery mart that contains clinical data from the Clinical Research Data Warehouse in a de-identified data store. This self-service tool is available for UIC researchers to access to obtain aggregate patient counts. Completion of the Training Module is required before a QUICKSet account will be authorized.

CIRTification: Community Involvement in Research Training is a human research protections training program designed especially for community partners. If you will be involved in research and responsible for recruiting research participants, obtaining informed consent, or collecting data, this training is for you.
